Across Bay Ridge, what are now gyms, chain stores, and Asian supermarkets were once movie theaters, with only one of these cinemas (the Alpine) remaining.



This tour will not only uncover the history of these buildings but also shed more light on neighborhood history and the story of Brooklyn and New York at the movies. A featured tour by Savona Bailey-McClain, Executive Director and Chief Curator of the West Harlem Art Fund, as part of Jane's Walk NYC 2022.
